Tour 7: Walking with Romans in Bath
We start in the 18th century and travel backwards in time.
First No 1 Royal Crescent with its authentic interiors, furniture and fittings, on to The Circus
- what a wonderful address, is there a secret message encoded in the freize on the houses?. We progress to the Assembly
Rooms to imagine ourselves conversing with Beau Nash, ‘The King of Bath’ under the breathtaking chandeliers
and consider what to wear in the Museum of Costume.
Next to the Jane Austen Centre. Now a step back to Bath Abbey, the last Tudor church to be built before the
reformation. Finally a giant step back to the Roman Baths, the heart of this World Heritage Site, where people
bathed over 2,000 years ago. And this is just for starters - there's so much more to see.
